And he starts his engine, but he knows that he's missing gears

Wow. I had to admit I was a little surprised when I saw the date today. August 29th. Almost September. I'm excited. But it amazes me that August is almost over. In some ways it feels like it's been forever, in others it doesn't. Exactly a month ago I was in a Wyoming, having spent the day on a plane from Oklahoma, to Denver and then to Oklahoma. That was definitely the best vacation ever, but now it's time to move on, to look towards the future and what is hopefully going to be a great fall. I love fall, I always have. Maybe because I was born in fall, and always had a birthday to look forward, but I don't know, I've always loved the trees changing into beautiful shades of red, orange and yellow, and then falling down to the ground in the cool wind. I love walking through the fallen leaves and hearing them crunch under my feet. I love the smell in the air...it's just, in my opinion, the best time of the year. I'm excited for it to come again. =] I'm almost excited to have to start a wearing jacket again! Summer, or at least the heat, has definitely been around too long.

Today we went shopping...nothing to exciting. It was a hot. And my SF did not ship. =/ It's getting a little ridiculous, really. I want to get some more SF stuff for my birthday/Christmas but I can't say I'm really very excited about the idea of having to deal with band farm again...but if I do ask for some SF I'm going to warn my parents that they need to order this stuff VERY early.

I mostly spent the rest of the day reading Midnight Sun. Which is Twilight in Edward's POV. SMeyer posted the first 264 pages on her website today. I guess it had been leaked illegally [okay, so I actually knew that before it happened, I heard some people talking about how they'd read the first 6 chapters online a few days ago]. Anyway I guess SMeyer knows who leaked it, because she only gave a few people her half finished book, and all of them different versions because she was changing it. And now she's put the writing of the book on hold indefinitely. Eh.

But she did post the first 12 chapters on her website, so we could all read it legally. Slightly cruel in my opinion, let us read it and want more only to know there might never be more.
And I LOVED it. Ughh. Edward's POV is amazing, MUCH more intersting then Bella's, and I feel like I know Edward a lot better now, and I like him a lot more. Really in Twilight, and in New Moon and Eclipse [Breaking Dawn they hardly mention Edward, it seems like], I don't feel like you ever 'really' know who Edward is, other then that he's completely in love with Bella, ridiculously overprotective, and can have quite the temper. Oh and that he's Utterly attractive. It was definitely nice to know there's more to him. Anyway, Midnight Sun was awesome and I hope she decides to write more, finish the book and get it published.

Having said that...I hardly wrote any of Bright Eyes today, because of course I was reading Midnight Sun all day. However I think that was the best thing for my muse. I needed a break, especially since the writers block was starting to set in, and this seemed to give me more excitement, and inspiration to keep writing, and also to write better then ever. =D

Today's siggy -
I love it a lot. =D Pictures are from Lonely Nation, but the lyrics are from Faust, Midas And Myself, one of the most awesome SF songs ever, off of Oh! Gravity.

So...really I guess that's about all for today. lol. Not to much thrilling going on...the fair is a little less then a week now and tomorrow we might take Brandy over to the fairground to ride, but I don't know yet. We'll see what happens.
=D
