well todayy. it's october 12th. sweet. have i mentioned that october is my favorite month? even though this year doesn't feel much like fall. there's leaves on the ground, but the trees aren't changing colors this year, just turning brown and falling off. disappointing. and it's still pretty warm out too. this week it's going to be in the seventies, which is an improvement, really.
we went out to my birthday dinner tonight. to ihop. it was pretty cool. the food was yummy. i got one of those chicken strip baskets and when the waiter gave me my food on a plate he said 'i couldn't find any of those baskets.' which was random, but a few minutes later we heard him in the kitchen fighting with someone about how they couldn't find them and were supposed to use them or something. eric and i got a very good laugh out of that one. and no one used the dreaded 'b' word, which is a big no-no at dinner. people singing at resturants = not good. dying of embarrassment isn't really how i want to spend my birthday.
after that we went to the mall. and i looked for a dress. and i found one! first dress i looked at. lol. i saw it on the sale rack and knew it was perfect. it's white with brown trim and an empire waist. and it has blue and brown flowers on it. it was dressy enough but still cute and casual and hey, it was on sale! 75 percent off of already marked down prices. you can't beat that. you just can't. and it was my size! i tried it on and came back out so mom and dad could see it. they debated over it for a while, but we couldn't find anything else that wasn't ugly or extremely expensive, and when i had a few people come over and tell me it looked really good on me and that kind of sealed the deal. so a beautiful dress for $17.45. oh yess. because it's brown i have to get shoes [i only have black] but that's okay, since we saved so much on the dress. find a cute pair of brown flats/low heels and i'm good to go! =D
so yeah, that was pretty much today. tomorrow i have the othodontist [ohhh joy] and then teen leaders.
